Fun and interesting are the two words of impressions for the children when they hear about field trip. They think about having fun and to be in the interesting place during field trip. That was the KG A and KG B students of Pre-Primary Sekolah Global Mandiri Jakarta felt when they were visited Sari Roti Factory. On Wednesday, November 21, 2018 KG A and KG B Students which consisted of 68 students visited Sari Roti Factory in MM 2001, Cibitung.
The students left for Sari Roti Factory at 7.00 a.m. It was the first field trip in academic year 2018/2019, most of the students were very enthusiastic. They even arrived at school earlier than usual hour they used to do, because they did not want to miss the moments of this field trip.
They went to Sari Roti using 2 big buses. During the trip, most students enjoyed the view along the way and they had a chat. Some of them were watching a movie and singing some children songs which were available in the bus. The buses were convenient and comfortable and the drivers were very friendly and helpful. To avoid the heavy traffic in the high way of Cikampek, the bus drivers took another short cut to reach the factory. That was the reason why the students arrived at the factory earlier than it was expected. The students arrived at Sari Roti at 8.45 a.m. When the students arrived, the staff of Sari Roti Factory was ready to welcome the students. Then all students should queue to get into the factory.
When the students entered the hall of the meeting, they were surprised because the hall was very sophisticated. The hall was very cool and comfortable so the students and could get relaxed after the travel from the school. The staff who welcome the students directly handled all the activities. The students watched the movies about Sari Roti, played some games and sang some children songs. During the games, the students who could answer the given questions would get some bread as the present.
After the staff explained about Sari Roti, she took the students to look around the factory. The students could see the process of making bread from the beginning process until it was ready to eat. The students looked impressive when they saw the process. After all the activities were done, all students got some souvenirs and some packs of bread with different kinds and tastes. The students were very happy and excited.
The students left the factory at 11.00 a.m. and they arrived safely at school at 1.00 p.m. This field trip gave the students the chance to have another educational experiences away from their regular school environment. Students would also learn in a more hands-on and interactive manner than they did in the school. This field trip awoke the desire in the students to try new things. And by seeing real-life application of the lesson that they had learned at school, students might be more likely to understand and appreciate the importance and relevance of what they were learning.
