As the annual program, we do gardening and fish breeding in vocational class again. Now, we plants cabbages, chili peppers, and tomatoes. Mr. Ari, as the PIC for gardening, wants to introduce the SNC students to plant the veggies using the recycle goods as a growing media such as water bottle.
Besides, we are also breeding the catfish. The fish with the Latin’s name Clarias Batrachus is under controlled by Mr. Adi as the PIC. We have 600 catfish seeds in SNC Laboratory. We give vitamin probiotics in the pond to keep the fish healthy and have a big appetite.
Why catfish? “This fish has a high economic value, easy to maintain, and fast to harvest. Just like the vegetables that needs only in 3 months to harvest, we don’t have to wait for a long time to fried the catfish and eat our own vegetables.” Said Mr. Adi.
We will exhibit it for the vocational exhibition in September. On the other hand, we also will sell the products in Pasar Ilir SNC and green groceries in Legenda Wisata Area. The students are very enthusiast when they do this activity. So, who wants to try our Pecel Lele with lalapan and sambal?
